Weekly Rides in Rural Shelby County

Come to the ride on time, with a full tank of gas, on a roadworthy bike, an empty bladder, and dressed for the day in appropriate motorcycle gear. Show up with your brain in full operational order and your testosterone safely stored in your pocket.

The MSSR should always give “the speech” before each ride. Club officers may not always be there so you may have to step up to make sure everyone remembers what our rides are all about.

Is this the ride you want to be on? We have a Sport Touring ride on Saturday and a more aggressive Sport ride on Sunday. You might try both out and see which one suits your style and ability better.

SATURDAY: This ride is open to everyone and new riders are encouraged to begin here. The pace is usually slower, although brisk. We normally break for lunch after a couple hours riding, then head home, with some choosing to continue .

We are currently meeting at the Horizon Food Stop gas station on Highway 205, Collierville Arlington road, exit 25. Alternate ride time is 1:00 p.m. if weather is poor at early ride time and then gets better.

SUNDAY: Check with a member to verify whether a ride will be taking place. If not, you could always make a few calls and get one going!

There is a morning ride meeting at Horizon Food Stop gas station on Highway 205, Collierville Arlington road, exit 25. The pace is typically a spirited pace that will get your blood flowing!

The AARP Ride meets at 1:00 p.m. at the same place, with kick-stands up at 1:30 p.m. The pace is similar to the morning ride. Ride time is dependent on who shows up and where we go.

MORNING RIDE TIMES:
Summer - meet at 9:00AM, effective on the Sat of Spring time change weekend.
Winter - meet at 10:00AM, effective on the Sat of Fall time change weekend.

All Rides: On all rides members and non-members alike are encouraged to wear proper safety attire. Wether or not you are riding with a group or by yourself it is always better to use your gear and not need it rather than need it and not have it!!! Talk to any member in the group and you will likely hear of a story or two of someone going down and their gear protecting them.
